This year We will have 4 (FOUR) holiday House Contests, Here are the rules and judging guidelines for each:
There are two divisions : Decorating and Creation.
Entrants and nominees are entered by emailing CVN or jdb_educator, or by inboxing jdb_educator at his Cybertown home The CVN criteria for evaluating each contestant is reduced this year for the ease of new judges. The October judging went pretty well.
Here are our contests details for
November:
November 27 is scheduled to start the judging. Hopefully November 23rd will work for the final submissions date. We are planning another Holiday Hoouse Tour for November 26th as a tentative date.
December:
December 28 is scheduled to start the judging. Hopefully December 24th will work for the final submissions date. We are planning another Holiday House Tour for December 30th as a tentative date.
February:
We skip January, figuring that a rest and extra time is needed for February. Although decorators might surprise us and not go with Valentines Day. We have:
February 9 scheduled to start the judging. Hopefully February 8th will work for the final submissions date. We are planning another Holiday House Tour for February 11th as a tentative date.
Any of these contests may be changed to make it easier. Changes will be announced each month with the results of the previous contest.
Criteria for Judging: The Decorating houses contest has two areas: 2D and/or 3D. If you do not specify a preference you will be entered in both:
2D All boards reflecting a common theme appropriate to the selected holiday being celebrated during sometime that month. (you may enter only the 2D contest if you choose)
3D Items and House reflecting that month's decorator chosen holiday theme.
*Note: You are allowed to choose alternate celebrated holidays other than the standard Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentines Day. BUT. The holiday must be celebrated during the month submitted. Above all, you are encouraged to have fun. (Judges too!)
If we have any 3D houses entered in the Creation contest:
The same rules apply, with one additional stipulation. We will need a 50 word description and the Cybertown nickname of the creator as well as a date of creation. (all houses in Cybertown are eligible regardless of creation date.) Anyone may nominate any creator's house in Cybertown.
Prizes: CCs (Cybertown Credits, city credits, Cybertown cash) will be added for each house entry at the rate of 250, 000 per 3D entry.
How to Enter:
Enter by emailing the house name and name of owner (Cybertown nickname), or inboxing the house name and owner to the editor jdb_educator in Cybertown. Anyone may nominate any decorated house in Cybertown.
