Interview With Ablueyedbrunette!

ABlu:(aka I am either here or there but where? That is the question!) says Did you want to talk here?
dusty says:
Yes, would work out fine and I can copy the interview.
ABlu: says Okie dokie.
ABlu: says My option?
dusty says: okay you may or may not answer any of the questions!
dusty says: First question is the obvious one, why did you join CT?
ABlu: says I had made some very nice friends in yahoo chat. They started coming to CT and kept trying to get me to join. I was one of the last hold outs but finally joined. There was about 20 of us that immigrated over a couple of weeks.
dusty says: Do not give answers you do not want published lol.
ABlu: says I never would.
dusty says: And was it all you hoped it would be or less or what?
ABlu: says As with all places it had its ups and downs. I found many more pluses than I did minuses.
dusty says: Great and did you enjoy or try other jobs before going to security or did you just feel us out? In other words what other jobs did you have before your current job
ABlu: says Oh yes, I have held most colony level jobs, skipping over NL and going right to CD.
dusty says: Hmmmm you are the first I heard of skipping a level, you must have been good , would you not say?
ABlu: says I must have had the right skills for what the CL was looking for at the time.
dusty says: Okay then you dabble in flash and html then?
ABlu: says Yes, I have done many message boards for the two hoods I had as CD and throughout CT you will see some of my sig tags I've done.
dusty says: Okay, now then... why Security?
dusty says: I mean I can think of a better job! LOL
dusty says: Not that it is not needed lol.
ABlu: says Having held most Colony level positions where I felt I was useful... and helpful, I wanted something where I felt I could truly make a difference in CT. To give back some of what I felt was given to me.
dusty says: ...and security was your fix so to speak?
ABlu: says Yes, I so enjoy my security job. It isn't about the banning/gagging and so on. It is about making people smile, to have the contact. To keep CT a safe and fun place to chat.
dusty says: Okay. Recently I read an article about you in the CVN. Would you care to comment on that article and the responses sent out?
ABlu: says I assume you mean the one about helping a member with a medical emergency?
dusty says: I do know it was beyond your scope of duty, can you tell me why you did go beyond?
dusty says: ...And yes that is what I meant.
ABlu: says Someone needed help, I was there and took the steps to help them. I don't know if it was something special or not, I just did the right thing.
dusty says: And I commend you Blu, for that as well as the many times you have helped me here in CT with both humor and new ressies.
ABlu: says I love humor and making someone smile, the little lol I see on my side of the screen makes me smile too
dusty says: not the rofl?
dusty says: rofl dusty says: Now then , do you think CT will continue to grow now that it is become a pay site?
ABlu: says I have confidence that it will continue to grow. Once someone visits CT it is hard not to want to come back and to become a member. That is apparent by all the returning members as visitors dusty says: True and I have noticed this
ABlu: says CT is just a closer knit community now, people know each other better and I believe better friendships have been formed because of it
dusty says: okay a final question and take your time in answering it....
dusty says: What would you do or suggest for CT to become a better, safer and more fun place for someone to visit?
ABlu: says I see you saved the best and the hardest for last
dusty says: Of course. Surprise is the best winner!
dusty says: I am an old timer here ya know
ABlu: says I have no suggestions for CT to become a better and safer place to visit or for those who may become a member. CT is what we each make of it and what we each put into it. It is safe. If you are safe, if you want it better then you put out the effort to make it better. If it is more fun you are looking for, you don't have to look far, things are going on all the time.
dusty says: However I do have another question to inject. And I will assume you speak for all security officers!
ABlu: says No, I won't speak for all officers, that wouldn't be fair. We each come to CT and donate our time for different reasons. We each get out of it what we are looking for. dusty says: Over all is security doing the job it is supposed to do? Now, as one who has dealt with you guys a lot , tell me how you feel .
dusty says: I have met some great people in security and love each of 'em: sasha, ggb, taz, you and unemployal. And I try to make their jobs not so wavy at times. But tell me, if I did get out of line , how would you handle it? lol
ABlu: says In my opinion security does an excellent job of protecting the members. It is never done by one person but by a team of people. We all pull together, talk over problems, discuss solutions. But it is done together and not independently.
dusty says: Good answer
dusty says: okay we are done, and I am going to post this in CVN as I feel security does not get the recognition it deserves.
dusty says: I am also doing an annual SOY awards next month and it will go on for years at the Cafe. Hope you will be there.
ABlu: says Thanks Dust, my answers were honest and what I really think.
dusty says: Details are being worked out!
dusty says: Well, I did have a lie detector on my monitor... and no lies were shown lol.
ABlu: says Yes of course, I will be there. I have offered to be the officer on duty that night. dusty says: kk and thank you so much for putting up with me!
dusty says: hugs!
