Subject: The Adventure
I live in Adventure Colony. Adventure is reflective of the many adventures I have had and continually have here in CT. The many people and places I can go are numerous. Here in Cybertown we are a family. I feel so welcomed and loved. We help one another and respect each other. So the adventure to me is the many things I can do here, that I can't in the real world. Here I can fly, run, walk and feel loved by one big family. I enjoy my hood! So if you want an Adventure just click on into Cybertown and your adventure will begin.

Subject: Stories that Heal
Finding a home in Cybertown came swiftly and easily for me. Although getting there and settled was another story. I found my home in the very beginning in Inner Realms. I fell in love. The people there were awesome and made me feel welcome from the very very beginning. Because it was the very first place I settled I began to worry that I wasnt seeing everything in Cybertown that needed to be seen. I felt like I may be missing out on something. So I spent the next few weeks searching...roaming...
I longed to feel at home again somewhere while I was absent from Inner Realms. I had made committments with jobs and felt guilty about moving back to where I had once felt so at home. Then one day I heard about an opening in Inner Realms in my favorite Hood, Legend and Lore. It was a NL position and I became really excited. I thought about all the boards and all the Legends I could pass on and all the stories I have collected over the years in my own life.
One day I was in a counseling session with a group of mental health clients. We had a guest speaker come in who was an intern at a local community college. All we knew was that she was going to come in a read a story to our clients. We had no idea what it was. I sat mesmerized and in complete awe as she read the story from the book Women Who Run With The Wolves, by Clarrissa Pinkola Estes' Phd. She had my complete attention as she read the story , "La Loba, Wolf Woman". It begins... "There is an old woman who lives in a hidden place that everyone knows, but few have ever seen..." as she read this story I realized that I had never been more captivated by something in my whole life. The story told of "singing over bones" and bringing life back into them. And how in bringing back life she is utterly transformed, eternally changed and in the end set free from a cave and from her trenches and fears of death. Symbolic of my own life.
At that moment I understood truly, the powerful medicine of how a story, a legend or Lore can transform a person, for I experienced first hand the sudden feeling of complete empowerment from that story. I immediately understood how the telling of these stories is vital to healing of the human conditions we so often have to find our own freedom from. When I saw this Neighborhood and all the different prospective teachings, I thought to myself WOW what a perfect opportunity to use this in a manner to teach people who want to learn and hear these stories. And that in doing so perhaps they too could experience such healing. This is my Vision and my idea of what I think Legends and Lore should be. So my job now as NL of Legend and Lore is to try and get people excited about stories and how beneficial and healing they really can be.
