The CT Security staff, headed by Commissioner,
Jayna and Chief, Despo, do a fine job of making
Cybertown a safe place for all it's citizens. They
are in many chat areas, often unnoticed until there
is some sort of trouble. When a trouble maker arrives
they deal with the situation quickly and politely.
Without this service Cybertown would be in danger of
going the way of many chat rooms on the internet,
where friendly discussion in a family atmosphere
quickly becomes impossible.
Security is a big organisation employing a Deputy
Chief, Oherra; four Captains; four Lieutenants; four
Sergeants and nine Officers. Together they put in
countless hours of work which is valued by all except
the small minority who set out to make trouble. The
requirements for a Security Officer are necessarily
high. Applicants must be over 18 with 1000 experience
points, and no recorded bans or gags. In addition to
this they must pass both a security background check
and two interviews, the final one being a Captain's
interview. After approval a 6 week probationary
period must be passed, and candidates must
sign a confidentiality agreement. After the probation
period they must give up any other CT jobs they have.
If you are still interested in joining security
after all that, there is an application form at the
security in-box, located near the bottom of the jump
gate. Applications are only invited during certain
periods annouced at the site. Please do not apply
until such an announcement is made.
