To tell you the truth, I wasn’t really too excited about going to see this movie, having never seen the original and happier to go and see a pointless slapstick like Shallow Hal or Monsters Inc. But I did go to see it, and I did enjoy it.

     The movie was a bit slow to start, but when it reached the peak of the plot, it was at its element, as a great movie. The plot was a basic heist plot. One guy gets out of jail, after committing a robbery of some sort (you don’t really get too many details of it) and then plans the biggest robbery ever. Robbing the three biggest casinos in Las Vegas with only 11 men and a rich guy to fund the heist. There are loads of sub-plots and a real twist at the end, but I can’t go into details about them without ruining the film for you.

     The three main male parts (George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon) all played excellent roles, but I felt that Julia Roberts was wasted in her role. She was out of her element in this movie, and a less well-known actress could have done just as well. Cameos by Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko and Topher Grace were noticed by the audience, but didn’t do much for the film.

     All in all, although pessimistic to begin with, my rating of this movie is 8/10 for the excitement, action and thrills provided, along with the feel-good ending. In other words, they all lived happily ever after…
