Security
By Cloud_Chaser, for CVN Weekly

Have you ever been in trouble with Security? Have you ever typed something bad and Security came for YOU? People do become better in dealing with Security, proper behavior and common sense as they get more experience in the City. They learn what not to do, as well as what to do! Like all sites, Cybertown has its very own rules. They are called the "Unified Ban Policy" If you have not read them you should! This document was created to try to make clear the consequences and rules presented in the constution of Cybertown. Read it again!

Personally, I think that security is here to help us when we have troubles, like the police. Our security truly exists to protect and serve. This motto is one used by many U.S. police departments. It is a great goal, for any security force.

If we get offended, harrassed, or cursed at, we can just call security to help us. However, they are not always online or immediately available and/or may be dealing with other calls for "help" when they are available. CVN knows they try hard to have service 24/7/365 for Cybertown. So inevitably some things we gotta deal with ourselves. There are actions we can take! Here are a few:

  1. The first thing is to ask the person to stop and the person might even listen
  2. Another way, to deal with it by yourself, is to just ignore the person. There is a chat setting for ignore! First, tell them you are doing it and why. If they don't reply in a way that seems ok, Put the offensive person on "Ignore". Pass the suggestion on to other people who are complaining by whispering to each. Let the others choose their actions for themselves! Don't try to get everyone to ignore the person. They may not see the chat as upsetting. If you try to "convince" everyone, you might be the one to get into trouble! If they too are upset, they can also choose to use "ignore".
  3. A third way is to talk to someone. Find a leader to help and discuss the problem. Look at experience levels. You want someone familiar with the city! Colony deputies and neighborhood leaders are excellent choices. Often Neighborhood deputies or even block leaders can help. Most leaders, even Hawk, will take some time to try to get you help!
  4. Finally you can go to the security box on the jumpgate and report the individual. It is a good idea to have image copies and a chat record to prove what was said.

These are plans to help YOU, if security doesn't appear to be available.

We at CVN agree with our writer and " think security is a good thing to have." Be sure to thank all the security workers when you see them!
