VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : I never thought I would have a chance to see her at a convention...but also meeting everyone...that was cool

jdbeducator : I'm trying to put together a story for our Cybertown News Magazine
jdbeducator : How were the numbers of people attending?
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : well, I think I heard close to 10,000 in and out at various points leading up to the show...
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : and there were a lot of people for the actual convention...not sure of the exact numbers, but it was busy...I mean a lot of it I spent watching the celebs on stage

VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : I work for the company that developed the 3d environment...the station...we were contracted by Vir-con to build the place, integrate the video streams...attach all the nuts and bolts
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : the company is called Object RAku Technology
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : I work in a different division than the one that built this world, but I was on-loan pre and during the event
jdbeducator : Neat :) How long did you work on the project?
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : I think it was the beginning of April the company did, that is...
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : I was on loan about a month during the event
jdbeducator : It is clear that a lot of work went into developing, organizing and constructing all the content for the site. What were the biggest problems you saw that had to be solved?
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : you should really be asking Vito Montone about that

I could easily be wrong [good info so we won't hold her to the fire if she is wrong and if Vito or someone who has contact with him can advises him. Contact him...lol I would love to do an interview]

VirCon_Basecmonnier0 : Sunday night, we partied in Quark's bar until the early hours of the morning
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : it was great fun, the whole convention, but afterward, in quark's bar, we all hung around for a long, long, time, no one wanted it to be over
jdbeducator : I can understand that easily, Jamie. We in Cybertown find that a daily experience :)

VirCon_Basecmonnier0 : we all really felt integral part of the convention, at the same time, we all felt as part of a special group
jdbeducator : lol then I'll stay a while and lol try for additional info to edit into the story *chuckle*
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : I swapped emails with some of the folks I met...as we all did I think...
VirCon_Basecmonnier0 : so did we, some even took pictures and sent them to us, I got mine with Raven NX01
jdbeducator : I imagine so :) There is indeed something special about Internet relationships
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : yes, I agree...we were the first group...but that group will grow...and the next convention will be bigger and better yet
VirCon_Basecmonnier0 : I think it was the ultimate star trek experience, full acceptance, community, and immediate affection for one another

VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : no, I'm not sure what I expected...but the comradry, the closeness I felt with the folks I met...
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : didn't expect that to the degree I felt it
VirCon_Basecmonnier0 : I think none of us anticipated that, that's why we didn't want to leave, afraid to lose it
VirCon_DevJamiegrl0 : ...I mean , I'm back here Tuesday morning (yesterday was a state holiday)...hoping to see some of my friends
