Cybertown Virtual News IS CVN

Issue 89 for the week of August 31 now hits the cyber news stands!

Can you believe we are only 11 short issues from our 100th issue? Today, I am here to bring you the News from around the city, and to continue to provide, display and encourage the activities, interests and knowledge of our Cytonian population. My greatful thanks go to the new business section, the music review and the v-paper staff as relative newcomers to CVN. Blondie-101 continues her second week as section head in teens. As always I send Hugz and appreciation to my reliable peeps Rkgbiolgst38and clarity for their weekly contributions. Let's get on with it!

CVN Weekly congratulates and sends hugz to our new mayor Jolinth who was auctioned off last Sunday at the Carribean Auction in Virtual worlds for 275,000 ccs.
Cytonia Productions still has that incredible movie trailer for their upcoming ePlex video production of "Avatar" in the Daily News See it! It is awesome! Our congrats to staff there!! LOL We hope you are reading the Cybertown Daily News! The biggest change in the Weekly will be continually less coming from me and more from other section heads or we will br providing far less content to our readers. It is likely that this little column will provide most of my writing efforts on a weekly basis, unless more time becomes free. Short edits, reviews of pages and sections and of course email and possibly helping with writing grants will be most of my CVN and Cybertown written participation. I personally plan on finding chatting time to keep upwith all my friends in CT, since lol so many of them won't email me! *looks at all those friends with sad, lonely puppy dog eyes with one tear running down the right cheek... (think that will work, readers? *wink*) Publication of CVN Weekly is now on Saturday, with this second Saturday publication. Other sections can publish on whatever day works for them. They just need to send out their email notice so they are linked in our weekly issue.

For this issue of the Weekly: The fun pages continue to be a hoot! We have new stories, news and reviews on the vpaper a possible virtual stock scandal in the business section (whther true or false it IS funny, however, we will take no sides and hope everything comes out well for all participants) ... The Writing Zone continues to provide fabulous content. Although or section chief is off every now and then making REAL money on web sites this week we have the new section! We have complete chat pictures and links in outr Vir-Con section moved to resources. The lobby remains open. That set of stories, interviews and pictures took some time!.

We have blondie-101 taking over the teens section and another great section building there. Other hoods in teens will hopefully get some exposure!and are welcome to join, and send their news for this page!

CVN at the movies has a short review this week of TV mini-movie and a an added note on a series from USA network based on a Steven King's novel. Be sure to check there! Seina continues to edit Unkka Jim for me and Dolly66 may be returning. She is welcome back anytime! lol My writing time has vanished. It seems to be focused on web research and lesson plan writing for my real life classes.

Serious editors with time, interest and ability, who can make at least simple html pages are definitely needed Contact jdb_educator@msn.com. We have new music review pages, and our business section.

CVN Biography will continue, and stay up. There are certainly long delays in content addition there, but the quality of writing is superior. I will just hope and pray they get some more up! We expect to move it to a new publication now in the planning stages, perhaps the VIRT when it makes a re-appearance... The music pages appear to be gone As you can see we are still providing lots of information and fun reading to Cybertown! As always, we extend our Congrats to those few who are writing and sending. YOU are CVN. "Thank You!"

So read on and enjoy :) Be sure to come back next week or even more often this week!

Here at CVN we have lots of new activities and pages developing. All the CVN Deputies agreed everyone in management should have their own page or section! As we continue this dynamic experiment in Internet journalism, We hope you look forward to more and varied content, lots of activities and neat contests from around the city.

Our focus is simple: fun, entertainment, good and reasonable content, and the improvement of writing. Our goal is to report the news in Cybertown that does not duplicate the Daily News or would be more appropriate for this magazine format.

Job openings and possibilities are, as always, wide open. Anyone who wants to play, learn, grow, and work is welcome. A request for a job, or application and two contributions to our news organization that we publish in the Daily News or the Weekly News are required for Cybertown titles and virtual pay.(the only kind we can afford!)

See our Job Openings or send a CVN application!
