Welcome back Deb44!

Sassyq22, CVN Weekly Guest Editor
I want to take this time to welcome our beloved weekly editor back! I am so glad you are feeling better, and I am sure our readers and citizens are glad to have their favorite editor back! I will still be writing for the weekly some, so keep your eyes open! I also still have the Murder Mystery going and you can catch up with that here: http://cvnweekly.50megs.com/sassyq22/mystery0.html
Part one is posted and Part Two should be posted soon! You ALL can check at http://cvnweekly.50megs.com/sassyq22/

Virtual Worlds Murder!!

As I was telling you above, we have had a murder in Virtual Worlds Cybertown Colony! You play the detective and collect both clues and items along the way. (You get imaginary items, such as roast beef, then keep track of what you have with a pen and paper!) The story starts out pretty simple and gets harder as you uncover the motives of the different characters. Who did it? Could it be the lovely Sassyq22, who is quite jealous of her beloved? Or maybe the wonderful cook, who thought that he might be replaced... You have to uncover the REAL story! This all starts at your imaginary office in Virtual Worlds on the Message Board and then goes to the Caribbean Islands from there. Good luck detective! People are counting on you to find the killer, before there is another murder. There is also a $50,000.00 CC reward in this for the first person to solve the case.

In Earth news this week

Back on Earth they also have their weekly and daily news. Here are some of the stories they are currently running. Send me an inbox and let me know how you feel about these stories.

So Brittney DID lose her children! OMG! I could not imagine ANYTHING being more important than my child! But to each their own I guess...

I hear that the band Radiohead will be letting people choose how much they want to pay for their songs online. I think this is GREAT! Of course I wouldn't do MY business that way, but it works out wonderful, for us, the consumers.

Did you hear about the two boys 11 and 12 that were arrested and put in jail for 6 days for playing a game?? Well... not exactly your average board game, but a game either way. I remember playing "hit the hiney" in elementary school, myself. Of course we NEVER thought of it as anything but a game! But these two boys spent 5 days in jail over this. Unbelieveable! You can read it at: http://www.creators.com/opinion/dennis-prager/why-i-fought-for-two-boys-i-never-met.html

New Video Games/Editor's Pick

Ok, I know normally I tell you about different video games, but today I want to talk about the playstation systems. I have the Playstation 3. Although I do love my playstation, I REALLY wish I would have waited till the price came down to purchase it. To be honest...I don't see THAT much difference. There are some games you see a lot of difference, then there are others where you don't see a lot. Like Tiger Woods. Now I absolutly love this game. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a number of the things I wanted in the Playstation 2 version were in the Playstation 3 version, such as a driving range. Now THAT made it worth it. But if you play the sims like I do, you will not see any difference. What do you think? Write to me and tell me what you think about the 2 verses 3 debate.

Events

9th Dimension is the COTM for this month! They've got one of my favorites months to really show their stuff. I can't wait to see what all they have going on this month.

Virtual Worlds Colony currently has the Murder Mystery, and of course the Draw and Guess will travel to 9th to support the colony! We know there will e slots on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Please check with http://partyline.ctcolonies.com/Ncal/index.php for times and dates for the above events we mention and more!

Weekly Reminders

Update your Virus Protections! According to McAfee.com the following terrible things are out to get your precious computer:

MSIL.Yakizake is a mass-mailing worm that runs within the .NET or Mono framework and requires that Thunderbird be installed.
Backdoor.Darkmoon.E is a Trojan horse that opens a back door on TCP port 5555 on the compromised computer.
Backdoor.Unpdoor is a Trojan horse that opens a random port and connects to a remote Web site.

There are also many more Phishing scams out there! Here are some of those….so beware if you receive any of these in your email!

1. Die Mitteilung von der Volksbank. Lesen Sie bitte aufmerksam durch
2. Mehr Sicherheit beim Nutzen von Ihrem Konto Volksbank - die Kodekarte und iTAN
6. Volksbank berichtet ihren geehrten Kunden..
7. Security Alert- Confirm Your Bank of America account Information

These are not the only ones to look for. You should also look for emails claiming to be from Bank of America, Paypal and many more. Remember that if there is a problem with your account then most of the time they will CALL, not EMAIL. If you DO receive a call then DO NOT give out any information. They should already have all your information on file. If you still are not sure then ask their name and call them back from a number you know to be the business's. You can also carefully type the name of the website.

Just be careful out there!
