--- December 25 --- Today is Christmas Day. May you and all your family and friends be blessed with good health, food, warmth, love, and laughter! We hope today, tomorrow, and the rest of this year, and the next, that you find happiness, joy, and all good things happening for you on a daily basis. This is our special Christmas Day edition of CVN prepared for you!

MEMORIES

--- December 25 --- Every Christmas brings memories with it. This one adds some to the list. There are good memories like Santa personally delivering radios at dinner time to all my brothers and myself in the 1950s and this year we add another: sitting, holding hands with Melanie and watching A Christmas Story on television. We sat, ate chocolate, pet our dog Sissy, and enjoyed a quiet Christmas Eve after our first Christmas Eve dinner at a restaurant in several years. Then we were off to visit a friend, and going to church.

Then there are also many sad memories of family loss, and friends who have died near to the holidays. One brother killed three days before Christmas in the 1960s and, of course this year, we all share the tragedy in Newtown, Conn.

Today is Christmas Day. It will be quiet too. Melanie will be working today, I will be visiting friends and then, together we will go to a family Christmas celebration tonight. May your day be MERRY AND BRIGHT!
