Lenire and Aniko send us this link: Cybertown Petition
Dear Blaxxun,
(just part of the letter/petition)
"This petition was generated to show you that shutting down Cybertown is not at all what any citizen wishes to see come to our chat community. Cybertown means a lot to many of us, and unlike people think, to many Cybertown is more than just a "game"..." Cybertown Petition

Tony123 apparently created and posted this. It is a simple effort to sign this, and the site shows good sense in protecting email addresses. Many, including this CVN Editor have signed it. Warning when viewed Some of our quirky past or present residents added useless and negative comments ad flooding, so parents, please supervise. Tony and I have exchanged several emails and he is trying to get the petition site to clean it up. The latest from Hawk on the petition:
"...It turns out that it was falsely reported as going to be sent to blaxxun when in fact the intention was to send it to me which is fine. I can use it on the right lines."~Hawk(from Healing Arts Group)
So go sign the petition, if you have not!

Keeping in Touch
For all the ones who do not want to lose touch with their friends, we have set up this form. If you and your friends want to use it, feel free. All you need is to bookmark the site. :-)
Keep in touch comes from Delphine & Mick28. This could be a handy place to store an email address and your nickname for fellow residents to find you... We added our email and ICQ number. at Keep In Touch

Linking Cybertown Contacts Together

Fellow Citizens, We are Cybertown. Each member here in any Cybertown dedicated group is part of our cyber community all by ourselves.

We need to join with others. Create a series of links and share information to remain in contact, and improve that communication. The CVN Weekly is just one way to do that.

Our goals are simple in this crisis of the possible shutdown of Cybertown in the month of June.

If we can simply serve as one link to hold groups and individuals together for Cybertown members and interested parties, we will serve the purpose of communication, and help Cybertown.

Look for our most accurate, available details in each Thursday's issue.

What we need for CVN are as many of the independent sites links in and around Cybertown as is possible. I will be making suggestions for that in Wednesday's Issue. So send to this group and copy to jdb_educator@msn.com

1. Any suggestions for helping Cybertown or those with needed skills, offering to help Cybertown should contact hawk@cybertown.com
2. Any urls any of you have, please send to jdb_educator@msn.com
3.. Any groups, any out-side of Cybertown gathering places, send them to me. (we have a few already)
4. Urge anyone who is interested in keeping up on what is happening to join either or both of our watcher groups: cub-reporters and/or Cybertown-Weekly both at yahoogroups. Your group can be added to our growing list for email news. We will also honor "please remove" requests.
5. We will be delighted to add any e group desiring to be added to , our CVN all group emails, on request.
6. You may and are encouraged to forward this message, web page and or copy/paste it to other groups.
Thanks
