Welcome to CVN Weekly's Exploration of Gaia2 at 3dplanets.com

Our several publications are full of creativity, exploration, resources, and just having fun .

July 3, 2013 Volume 15 issue 13: #292

Our weekly issue #292 begins our exploration of 3d Planets planet Gaia 2. We spent a couple of hours reading and gathering screenies for this tour. Our tour copies the site story information of the planets we explore.

We added 8 picture links of our graphic captures (screenies)to this tour. All screenies are less than 300kb. We also added our own comments. This is our first tour version. We will see if we try to make our exploration pages any fancier. Don't bet the farm on it!

We will make changes as our own understanding changes and additional information comes to our attention. Like all explorers of the unfamiliar, we suspect we often miss some of the possibilities that actually exist. Our exploration is fueled by our desire to present 3D worlds in a way you -the reader- can appreciate and understand.

Gaia2

Imagine a futuristic planet with little dry land. A planet covered in water that has evolved into a nautical and airborne society held together by determination and ingenuity.

The inhabitants of this flourishing planet live not only on incredible floating cities upon the surface of the ocean and in the air, but also deep beneath the waves.

Because of the planet's rotation, axial tilt, and short year, Gaia 2 enjoys a constant climate, there are no storms and the ambient temperature hovers around 75 degrees fahrenheit. A constant light breeze makes this a sailors paradise.

HEMISPHERES ON PLANET Gaia 2
Oceania, Skyhome, Highpoint, Asteroid Belt, Subterranea

We managed to explore Oceania and Skyhome before we began to tire. Next week, we will attempt to complete the other three hemispheres of this planet.

Oceania: I clicked and entered a viewpoint tour. Here is one picture of the plaza from a different perspective. There are three zones on Gaia2: Aquaria, Pacifica and New Venice. I crashed several times, as I explored. On my computer movement was easy and quick. Java and Blaxxun 5.3 are necessary. The navigation requires returning to the planet to continue exploring at various points. although we may not have figured out all the navigation quirks yet. There are quick navigation settings that remain unexplored, but suggest residents can choose their locations. music is also available as a choice. the default seems to be "on". Most of it is pretty good! The graphics are enjoyable, but buildings mostly seem to be scenery rather than areas for 3d exploration.

Aquaria seems like a one stop at the skylight lounge with nothing more there.

Pacifica:

Pacifica's fishing fleet is unlike any other in the galaxy. It's robot-tended ships are fully self-contained and automated. Everything, including catching, processing, and freezing of the seafood is handled by these marvels of technology.

This automation leaves the residents with considerable leisure time for games, sports, or to pursue whatever happens to intrigue their curiosity.

Picture of Pacifica: Notice that there is actually furniture in this lounge.

New Venice: New Venice is Gaia 2's center of commerce. All major banks and the planets stock exchange are located here.

Many of this worlds rich and famous live in the vast condominiums along the waterfront, where it is said anything can be bought . . . for the right price.

Because of the enormous income generated by this one Zone, Gaia 2 is tax-free.

Next I went to the Skyhome hemisphere. It had the same plaza as Oceania. There are three zones here. Stratus, Aerie, and Blue Yonder.

The hemisphere story is:
With the invention of the Polyphase Gravitic Transducer Coil by Nickolas J. Tesla (reputed to be a direct decendant of the renowned Nikola Tesla) many new inventions were made possible, including the Gravity Inversion Field Generator which allowed the architects of Gaia 2 to design and build cities that floated serenely across the skies.

Skyhome was the first of these new cities. Designed originally for the elite of Gaia 2 it was opened to all inhabitants after nearly a decade of protests from the rest of the population. Most of the major recreational facilities located on Gaia 2 are situated here.

Aerie: it has the same Skylight Lounge.
Aerie is Gaia 2's front line of defense. Using teleportation technology not yet capable of transporting biological material, Aerie can beam the ships of smugglers or invaders right out from around them, leaving the crew to fall the 3 1/2 miles to the planets surface.

Using a grid of relay satellites, this one station can protect the entire surface. Aerie is also a relay point for the planets toxic waste, they simply beam it into no-where.

Blue Yonder
Blue Yonder is the center for deep space exploration and mining. After the disaterous results of the Phase 7 propulsion system it was decided that all future tests be carried out from here.

Now under development, the Phase 8 system is showing great promise. Early tests have propelled a drone ship to the far side of the system and back in under 15 minutes with only minimal damage to its structural integrity.

The residents of this Zone are considered some of the bravest in the system and are treated with the highest respect.

Next up is the Highpoint hemisphere. We have already begun, yet there is a lot more there for us to look at before we publish. We will continue to present our exploration of Gaia2 next week, the URL will be
